About East Windsor Prevention Council
East Windsor Prevention Council was founded in 2023 by a core group of interested and committed community members. EWLPC currently has grants to address opiate use and alcohol use. We are open to new members to best represent our community.
We're your community!
East Windsor Prevention Council is made up of residents of the East Windsor community and representatives of the town. Our goal is to have representation of as many sectors of the town as possible so we can always be sure the work we're doing is focused on the needs of our community.
Incorporated in 1768, today’s East Windsor strives to preserve its quiet, small-town charm. The town has five villages: Warehouse Point, Broad Brook, Scantic, Melrose, and Windsorville. The oldest section of town is Warehouse Point. The area of the town is 26.8 square miles, and is bordered by the town of Enfield to the north, South Windsor to the south, Ellington to the east, and Windsor Locks and Windsor to the west, across the Connecticut River.
The population is 11,190 as of the 2020 census.
